Irrespective of the opinions, Nigeria remains a great country and our Army absolutely amazing. Quite unfortunate they’ve been infiltrated by negative energy from the top. As beautiful as this parade looks on Nigerian Army, the truth is that it does obscure the actual situation of things, on the ground,  counting human rights records of this military, the Nigeria Army Display at Royal Edinburgh Z military Tattoo could be less spectacular.

Only yesterday, a group of soldiers, somewhere around Jalingo in northern Nigeria, mowed down three policemen and another non-uniformed passerby.

What was their offence? The soldiers where incensed that the policemen arrested a renowned daredevil kidnapper, on the wanted list for too long, who had been terrorizing all of that part of northern Nigeria.

Those policemen were all killed and the arrested kidnapper set free and asked to go home.

You add that to the now everyday killing of unarmed protesters on Nigerian streets by the military and you begin to ask: are we supposed to be here to celebrate this parade, knowing that it is a part of the main bunch of blood thirsty military that has continued to bring hell to ordinary Nigerians?

A few days ago, a tri-cyclist was shot dead at a place called Ogbor Hill in Aba, South East of Nigeria. He refused to offer 100 Naira bribe to some soldiers that cornered him, which was a ‘crime’ for which the soldiers had to summarily execute him.
